Namco at IMTS show in Chicago
September 08 has been a hugely successful month for Namco Tooling. With most of the good news coming from the other side of the Atlantic. Owner Tim Cooke explains:
“ We have exhibited at every IMTS show in Chicago since 1996 and I can safely say that 2008 was the best show so far. Despite the general economic conditions that have prevailed in the USA since the summer of 2007, the mood amongst exhibitors and visitors was very positive which was most encouraging. Moving the Tooling pavilion from the old Lakeside Centre into the brand new West Building provided a much improved exhibition space.
Our distributor for North America, RSVP Tooling could not have obtained a better location for our stand, which attracted a lot of serious visitors with available budgets to spend. International representation was also very high, which enabled us to appoint at least 3 new distribution outlets in Asia to sell our range of thread-cutting and thread-rolling tools. Now the hard work of following up the hundreds of enquiries begins, but in the current climate that is a nice problem to have “
